Questions, bugs, ideas: support@sleeplaugh.net. I read every message and usually answer within a day or two. If something went wrong, the three things that help most are which device, which version of iOS, and what happened just before.
About the game
Pinball where the table is a tower: three floors stacked on top of each other, a lift between them, and the ball climbs. For iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later. No ads, and it plays offline.
How to play
There are no tiny buttons. The left half of the screen is the left flipper and the right half is the right one, edge to edge, so you play it the way you hold your phone. Hold a flipper up to catch the ball on it. Nudge the table by leaning the phone or tapping with two fingers. Tap the top left corner for the menu.
Play well on the ground floor and the lift carries the ball up to the upper atmosphere. Play well again and it goes to orbit. Drain, and the ball falls back down the tower to wherever the floor below can catch it. The display calls the shots, and the words painted on each floor are the shots it means.
Common questions
- The ball is stuck.
- It should never stay stuck. If the ball stops moving for a few seconds the table nudges it free by itself, and you can nudge it yourself with a lean or a two-finger tap. If a ball gets caught in the same place every time, tell me where and it will be fixed.
- How do I turn off the music, or the haptics?
- Tap the top left corner for the menu and flip the MUSIC or HAPTICS switch. They come back the same way.
- Where are my scores?
- Your best score sits on the menu. If you are signed in to Game Center, every finished game also posts to the Rocket Range leaderboard, and Game Center's own button on the menu opens it.
- I would rather my scores were not posted to Game Center.
- Sign out of Game Center in the Settings app on your device. The game then keeps your best score on the device only, and nothing changes about how it plays.
- Is there anything to buy?
- Not in this version. Rocket Range is complete and free, with no ads. More tables are coming to the same tower; if one of them costs money it will be sold through Apple's App Store like any other purchase.
- Does it need an internet connection?
- No. It plays offline. The only thing that ever goes online is a Game Center score, and only when you are signed in.
- Which devices does it run on?
- iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later, in portrait, held in two hands.
Privacy
Tower Pinball collects nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Your settings and best scores stay on your device, and Game Center, if you use it, is Apple's. The whole of it is in the privacy policy.
